Freshness and flavor from scratch
More than 20 years ago, Cafe Express co-founder Robert Del Grande was making waves and making news in the restaurant world as Cafe Annie's executive chef, he and his staff would have to eat too! During their all-too-brief downtime, they'd whip up meals for themselves that had to be quick without compromising on their own high standards of freshness and flavor. Out of this creative whirlwind, the Cafe Express fast casual concept was born.
Cafe Express has always been distinguished by its "made-from-scratch" philosophy. Every day we chop our own vegetables, and we make our own chunky chocolate brownies from scratch. Even our croutons are homemade at each location.
